Monitoring of water resources
Surface water quality control
Systematic observations of surface water pollution have been carried out since 1966. Currently, these observations cover 44 water bodies: 30 rivers, 9 lakes, 4 watercourses and 1 port.
Field Research Expeditionary Works
Snow removal works have been carried out on the territory of Azerbaijan since 1950. Surveying works are carried out in the mountainous areas of the Big and Little Caucasus, along 28 routes, in the basins of 20 rivers.
Floods
The territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan is included among the areas with the most floods in the world.
