International cooperation

Environmental protection, efficient management of natural resources, their restoration and sustainable use have become an integral part of the development concept of our country.

In order to solve the current problems in the field of environment, in order to assess the needs of global environmental problems at the national level and to determine the solutions, the relevant institutions of the United Nations, the secretariats of international environmental conventions, the European Union, the World Bank, the Global Ecology Fund, the Green Climate Fund, the World Meteorological Organization, GIZ, World Health Organization, KfW, WWF, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Asian Development Bank, etc. cooperates with organizations.

Azerbaijan has joined more than 20 international conventions and protocols. Activities in this direction are continued today, and relevant work is being done to join other international multilateral agreements that serve global goals.

Most of the internal waters of our country are formed outside the country. As a downstream country, Azerbaijan suffers more from water pollution. Activities in this direction are carried out within the framework of international conventions, regional programs and projects.
